Adam Wainwright pitched a brilliant 2 hit complete game shutout and hit a double, another hit and an RBI for good measure. He won his third decision of the season for the Cardinals, 8-0 in Washington.
Pedro Alvarez got on base four times and launched a three run homer as the Pirates crushed the Brewers, 11-2.
Jon Lester was brilliant against the White Sox. He was perfect into the 6th, finishing with 8 innings, 1 run, no walks and 9 strikeouts, getting the 3-1 win for the Red Sox.
Yangervis Solarte got 3 hits including his first big league homer and started a triple play as the Yankees crushed the Rays, 10-2.

Alex Wood pitched a complete game, letting up just one run and one walk. That one run was the difference as the Phillies topped the Braves, 1-0.
Hunter Pence got on base three times with two hits and a walk for the Giants. The rest of the lineup stranded him as the Dodgers won, 2-1.
Chris Sale kept the Red Sox hitless through 5 and let up just 1 hit, 1 run and struck out 10 over 7 innings. The White Sox would fall to Boston, 3-1.
Michael Brantley got 2 hits and drove in 4, including a 2 run homer. The Indians would fall to the Tigers, 7-5.
