Rick Porcello pitched 7 strong innings, letting up just one run and one walk, getting the 2-1 Tiger win over the Angels.
Homer Bailey threw 6 shutout innings, striking out 8 Cubs along the way. He got the 8-2 victory for Cincinnati.

Troy Tulowitski got on base 5 times including a pair of doubles. It wouldn’t be enough for the Rockies who lost 10-9 to Philadelphia.
Gerrit Cole was terrific over 8 innings. He let up 1 run on a solo homer, walking just one and put the Pirates in position to win. However the bullpen would blow the game, 3-2, to Milwaukee in 14 innings.
